WHERE TO PLAY

The American Wings Air Museum is working museum dedicated to the history and restoration of aircraft featuring memorabilia and displays from World War I to the Gulf War. Touch, feel and experience is a way that our museum differs from a typical one as visitors can sit in two aircraft cockpits, plus view open panels to view the wires, tubes and parts of an engine to truly understand how an aircraft operates. This gives visitors a chance to not only learn about the history of the display aircraft but how airplanes fly, navigate and what it was like to fly them. Our collection of unique aircraft spans the development of aviation -- from the museum's Wright Flyer replica to current day jet aircraft. Our hours vary depending on season, so please call to check our hours. Great for groups.

Splash around outdoors at the Anoka Aquatic Center in George Green Park. This outdoor aquatic playground has a 200' waterslide, Adventure walk, a large concession stand, sand volleyball court and a picnic area. For the little ones, this center features zero-depth entry, a huge shallow play area, and a slide for youth under 42" tall. Fun for kids of all ages. Open seasonally, June-September.

The Anoka County Fair mixes the fun traditions of the past and blends in the fun and entertainment of today. Carnival rides, games and food throughout the Midway, along with exhibits and entertainment galore! Visit our website for dates and details. 

The Brooklyn Center Community Center is in the heart of the community. This facility offers individuals and groups recreation activities, plus event space. Located adjacent to Central Park, this can be a perfect location to take kids swimming, work out both indoors and out and enjoy a great outdoor game of baseball.

With all of the amenities and affordable rates, there is little doubt why the Brooklyn Center Community Center is a popular recreation destination for all ages. Easily located just off of Highway 694 & Shingle Creek Parkway, the community center offers an Olympic-sized indoor swimming pool, 150 foot waterslide, exercise facilities, concessions, arcade area, exciting birthday party packages, meeting rooms and beautiful outdoor hiking trails and gardens.

Come and explore the restored Eidem Homestead and Brooklyn Park Historical Farm. This ten-acre farm is reminiscent of turn-of-the-century farm life. People of all ages can come and enjoy guided tours, special events, displays, pioneer craft demonstrations and hands-on activities. Open spring and summer with special events throughout the year.
